Objects from the deep past

Sketched a collection of items from the Sedgwick Museum, Cambridge at an evening event ‘The Art of Pure Observation of Things’. Items include a Brachiopod, a sea urchin and copper ore.

A perfectly ordinary 1950’s semi…

So I’ve been putting all my energy into making my new place habitable…. Here are some of the first results!  There is possibly more filler than actual plaster left on this wall and Dad did a great job with the sander.  The carpets were a major milestone.  The paint is an optical grey that I chose because it is very receding.

Work continues on this tapestry; I’m working copper coloured paint and thread onto a calico backdrop that I hand-painted in taupe and dyed with a pale blue wash.
